SOBER EVENTS GUIDE JANUARY 2026

January 7, 2026

Vee Willard

Our monthly roundup of events in the city that are alcohol-free or where alcohol is present but easily ignored

Dry January, but make it fun! Whether you’re someone who tries to stay alcohol-free generally, or you just over-indulged on the holidays, Dry January is very much a thing and it’s hotter than ever! It’s a chance to give your organs a breather – to reset your mind and body – and approach the beginning of 2026 feeling fresh. So, to start the year off right, we’ve picked out the soberer queer events happening this month. From charity bingo to queer film screenings to community yoga, there’s much for you to do while you’re drying out.

Please note that this guide is put together to the best of the ability of our alcohol-free Events Editor Vee, who does her best, but may not always get it right. Please use your best judgement and if an event is making you feel uncomforted or tempted to break your sobriety goals, consider leaving, and if you want to, let us know.
