Are you a patron of the arts? Are you sapphic? Great news: this March 31st, we’re celebrating one year of sapphic programming at Bampot with an art show! Come see everything from visual art to beadwork to metalwork to installation art to visual and audio presentations.

The Show’s Theme is Spirals and Bogs!

About the Theme:

What do sapphics and bogs have in common? We both have the power to create an ecosystem out of the discarded. We both find the act of creation through deconstruction. We both...are wetlands? In many ways, queerness and nature are inextricably linked. In its fluidity, its connectedness, its frequent cycling of death and rebirth, nature embodies queerness. It is from this quagmire that we as queer people find our lineage. In a nature that is always in flux--always in transition.

In the nymphs that preside over the forest. In the mycelial networks that facilitate resource-sharing. In Venus being birthed from the sea.

Come out to see how a wide variety of artists responded to the theme.  Explore the bog, chat with the artists, meet other art-loving sapphics!
