Building home is an act of defiance in a world that has not made space for it. For many trans and gender-diverse individuals Asians across the Asian diaspora, kinship has been created in the absence of precedent, forming beyond traditional structures of belonging. Of Kin and Other Impossible Homes traces these histories of care and connection through personal narratives, photographs, and archival materials. By weaving together past and present, this exhibition honours the ways queer kinship reshapes what home can be, even in the most unlikely places.
