⛓️UNCUT Presents: Luster
(Dir. Everett Lewis, USA, 2002, 90 min)
Jackson is a blue-haired poet/zine-making punk who works at a record store and falls in love with literally every guy he meets – except the only person who has a crush on him. His life takes a turn when closeted gay rockstar Sonny Spike offers him to set his poetry to music.
With legendary queer talent on display, like poetry by Dennis Cooper, music by Pansy Division and Texas Terri and the Stiff Ones, and a rock’n’roll bad boy performance by SATC’s Stanford, Luster dares to ask timeless questions like “What is love?”, and “Is it incest to fuck your cousin?”
Really, is it?
