Celebrate Pride the Ubuntu way — “I am because we are.”

Join us at Christie Pits Park for an uplifting afternoon rooted in Ubuntu — “I am because we are.” This gathering is a joyful space for queer women, trans women, and non-binary folks to connect, celebrate our differences, and feel held by community.

Let’s gather picnic-style under the sun and celebrate who we are — together.

What to Expect

Warm welcome + relaxed meet-and-greet vibes

A high-energy Afrobeats welcome dance to kick things off

Women-led Djembe drumming circle

Youth dance & spoken word performance

Potluck-style picnic (bring something to share if you can)

Group games + fun prizes

Your Ticket Gives Back

$10 of every ticket will be donated to UPlift Black’s Newcomer Program, a BIPOC 2SLGBTQI+ led nonprofit working to dismantle systemic barriers and build community for marginalized people.

Your ticket helps fund:

   LGBTQI+ newcomer peer support
   Settlement navigation
   Community newcomer nights
   Refugee support letters
