The Superbutch x Understory 2026 Performance Residency starts off with a beautiful bang. Join us for an evening of music and community.
Superbutch is the sparkled alterego of Toronto-based musician and producer Dinah. Past Superbutch projects include a fashion show with live music at The Great Hall, and a live band performing inside a giant audience-controlled juke box.
Dinah is a working artist and community organizer. She is a reluctant performer but will show up if she can wear sequins. Current artistic goals include making weird shit and being useful in community spaces and social justice movements.

Rooted in North Indian classical music and modal jazz, AMRITA's sound blends intricate rhythms, thematic melodies, and spontaneous improvisation. AMRITA’s music is shaped by a shared love of odd time signatures, expressive tone, and the interplay of texture and emotion.

There will be amplified (but not super loud) music at this event.
The event will run from 8-10pm with lots of breaks.
Seated and standing spaces will be available.
Masks will be available at the door.
Street level entry, wide front door, automatic door opener, fully accessible washroom.
