Dear Diary,

It’s July 4, 3:42AM. I still taste the salt on my lips. Pride weekend came and went, but the real heat didn’t peak until last night at the Eagle. It’s the scratch of a moustache against the neck that stays with you. The way shadows fall over your lips just before the lights cut to black. The dance floor was thick with it…bodies slick, as our chests vibrating to the heavy bass. We didn’t talk much. We didn’t need to. Clearly I was looking in the right dark corners.
