Shady Queens: The Comeback

From the moment it first hit the stage in 2016, Shady QueensTM sashayed straight into the spotlight as one of Fife House’s most beloved and celebrated fundraising events. Year after year until its final bow in 2021, drag royalty from the RuPaul’s Drag Race pantheon and our own local dazzling queens served up a night of glitter, sass, and jaw-dropping performances. It wasn’t just entertainment – it was glamour with purpose and heart, raising vital funds for Fife House’s supportive housing programs and services for people and families living with HIV/AIDS. Since 2016, the Shady Queens stage has welcomed a star-studded lineup including Alaska 5000, Bob the Drag Queen, Courtney Act, Willam, Jinkx Monsoon, Ginger Minj, Sharon Needles, Violet Chachki, Trixie Mattel, Katya, Shea Coulee, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, and Priyanka.

By very popular demand (and yes, we heard you loud and clear), Fife House is thrilled to announce the return of Shady QueensTM. You can finally stop asking – we’re back, hunties!

Funds raised from “Shady Queens: The Comeback” in 2025 will go towards the Renovation Fund to create a modern, welcoming, and accessible home at Sorauren Residence: Fife House’s supportive housing program for women living with HIV/AIDS, and who are survivors of gender-based violence.

Shady Queens hasn’t just snatched wigs – it’s raised over $730,000 for Fife House – proving that drag, shade, and generosity are killer combinations that always wins the crown!
