Calling all nightlife artists and organizers! đ˘
As more than half of safe consumption sites in Toronto are closing in March 2025, we could be facing an increase in overdoses in our city. Collection sites for Toronto's Drug Checking Service will also be limited. The changing landscape of the drug poisoning crisis will create new challenges for nightlife workers who will need the necessary tools and knowledge to respond.
Pieces to Pathways & Rave Angels are hosting our first town hall event at @gladdaybookshop on Wednesday, February 12th at 7pm. We will be providing free harm reduction training on naloxone and overdose response, and introducing new strategies for integrating harm reduction into your events. During our town hall, you'll be able to get involved in knowledge sharing and voice your concerns on issues impacting safer partying. This event is about bringing the community together to connect, while also encouraging us to do our best to take care of one another and create safer spaces. Light refreshments, naloxone, masks, and harm reduction supplies will be available.
RSVP for this FREE event using the link in @pieces.to.pathways bio. All are welcome to attend this event. It is designed primarily for folks interested or involved in nightlife event organizing who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ and/or work with LGBTQIA2S+ audiences.
