Queer Picnic at Church Street Beach

What a joy to draw this poster for next week’s Queer Picnic, which celebrates the anniversary of the first gay picnic that happened at Hanlan’s Beach on Aug 1, 1971. Except this time the beach vibes are being created on our newly pedestrianized Village street.

I am told there will be sprinklers, grass, plants, & pools so come by and get your beach vibes on Sat Aug 1, 2-6pm. 🏖️
