Queer Cinema Club: Safe

Carol White *and* Carol Aird!? You’re about to be spoiled in the most wonderful way possible: with Todd Haynes movies about Carols!!

One of our greatest living filmmakers, Haynes has TWO masterpieces with big birthdays this year, both of which happen to feature legendary actresses playing two very different housewives named Carol: SAFE (with Julianne Moore in her first of many Haynes collabs as Carol White) is turning 30, and CAROL (with Cate Blanchett as the icon in her own right, Carol Aird) is turning 10. And we’re about to show them both.

Join us for SAFE on November 19th at our regular Queer Cinema Club at @paradiseonbloor, and CAROL at our second Prince Edward County edition at @regenttheatrepicton on December 3rd (CAROL is absolutely a Christmas movie, after all).
