PUCKER UP! with MIASALAV & 999ADJ

A new year, a new frequency!

For our first gathering of 2026, heavy-hitters 999ADJ and MIASALAV will be taking the reigns for a night of big bass and relentless rhythm at BSMT 254.

As a DJ, archivist, and curator, 999ADJ traces Black music histories through a forward-facing lens, where breaks collide with electro, jungle dissolves into techno, and rhythm becomes narrative. Founder of 999HEARD and the archival radio platform 999_HEARDRADIO, 999ADJ’s selections are sharp, percussive, and emotionally charged.

MIASALAV is one of Toronto’s most dynamic selectors and a powerful new presence in the Montreal scene. Her sets move with precision and intent, seamlessly weaving bass, techno, club, house, and everything in-between. Beyond the decks, she’s a producer with releases on international compilations including Aanjel, Air Texture, and Wavawava, and a committed curator for projects like Ether, a bass music event series spotlighting FLINTA* artists.

Visuals for the night will be created live on-site by Duzzi Daze, whose analog glitch practice transforms space into sensation. Using circuit-bent video enhancers, CRTs, projectors, and camcorders as instruments, Duzzi Daze bends pixels into unstable, hypnotic forms, drawing on nostalgia, distortion, and the beauty of interference.

Featuring sub-moving sets from Pucker Up! residents Critter, moody.cn.man, and Kai.
