Join us for a community event to hear about and discuss a new film project produced by Sarah Jones. The film centres the point of view and artistic practice of Frank Hull - dance artist, choreographer and activist who proudly lives with cerebral palsy and madness, embraces his Mi'kmaq heritage, and celebrates his gay identity. The film will combine cinema verite, interviews, POV footage and choreographed contemporary dance to explore the themes of beauty, diversity and disability.
The evening will start with socializing and refreshments followed by a screening of the very first interview with Sarah and Frank that planted the seed for the current film project ‘Own Kind of Beautiful’, scheduled to be produced in September and released in December of this year. Plus the short film 'be.yond' that was created as support material for funding applications. Then a question and answer discussion with Sarah and Frank, more time to socialize and connect with each other plus music and dancing!
A passion project many years in the making, hear more about the film, who is involved and how you can be a part of it!
