Shamed, scorned, censored, and yet such a formidable part of human experience. By yourself, with one or two or three or four or more, spread across a bed or in furtive glances and shadows; before respectability politics and hegemonic heteronormativity sex was liberation for queers.

This Pride season, come and celebrate the fact that every time perverts indulge in the dirty deed, we chip away at the power of repressed reactionaries and authoritarians. Come and celebrate with some naked boys. Pun intended.

This special Pride edition of Naked Boys Reading Toronto returns to Glad Day Bookshop. NBRTO is inspired by and in participation with the official London event, in turn inspired by the Chicago-born burlesque sensation, Naked Girls Reading. In London, Naked Boys Reading is an intimate nude literary salon featuring in-the-buff readings by local beefcakes, bears, twinks, otters, butch femmes, sissy sluts, boys next door with an exhibitionist streak and lovers of naturism with a well-endowed library.
