Lez Beach

On Saturday, August 30th (raindate Sunday) from 11 AM til Sunset, we’re U-Hauling to the beach for the second time this year! 🚛🏳️‍🌈👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👩🏾🌞🏖️

In June, over 1,2000 lesbians, dykes, sapphics, and queer femmes took over Hanlan’s, turning it into the biggest non-corporate and non-nightlife space for queer women in Canada. We swam, laughed, danced, and built community without interruption-less creeps, less compromises, more lesbians.

This time, we’re closing Hanlan’s beach season with a sapphic splash. Join us to take up space, see that ex you haven’t seen in three years, and enjoy an unapologetic display of lesbianism.

Lez Beach is first and foremost a grassroots gathering to combat rising levels of harassment and exclusion towards lesbians in queer spaces. Hanlan’s Point Beach is a public, clothing optional space and we cannot control who can and who cannot enter the space during Lez Beach. If you have concerns about the crowd, please come sit with us at the entrance to the event! We keep each other safe.

This is a gathering to encourage safety and reclaim space for sapphics in the queer community. There is zero tolerance for racism, transphobia, fatphobia or misogyny. If you do not connect to the sapphic experience, we ask that you reconsider the space you’re entering. Please leave your cishet/ bisexual/gay boyfriends at Trails 1 - 2 and 5 - 7 if they’re interested in being allies and helping lesbians (and co.) enjoy this homecoming at Hanlan’s.
