FibroiHex: Textile art by Alana Boltwood
Alana Boltwood is weaving and stitching hexagons, a resilient structure to stay strong in the face of uncertainty. She de-feminizes the fibre arts to explore stages in her queer passage from maidenhood to cronehood.
Showing Sept 11-21, 2025, open Wed-Sun 2-7pm, at WGP & Moon Art + Books, 872 Bathurst St, Toronto, north of Bloor.
Meet the artist on Sat Sept 20, 2-5pm: drop in for refreshments, and contribute to a hexagonal weaving in Bisexual flag colours.
Accessibility note: There are a few steps at the entrance to this street-level gallery, and a few steps to get to the washroom.
Fibroihex is part of the Bi+ Arts Festival, running Sept 18-21, 2025 at various Toronto venues. The Festival would like to acknowledge funding support from the Ontario Arts Council and the Government of Ontario.
