𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 Fat Beach Day TO, a call for fat folks to come lay by the lake, soak in the sun, and celebrate big beach bodies while taking up space and reaffirming that naturist beaches are places of body pride, not body shame!

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 Saturday, September 14th from Noon to Sunset (rain date is Sunday, September 15th).

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 Hanlan’s Point Beach, North Side, near the flagpole. Access the island using a ferry ($9.11 roundtrip) or water taxi ($13 one-way) to the Hanlan’s Point docks, then walk 1km north, veering right at the split before the tennis courts. Use beach trail #4, opposite the Mermaid Cafe, the first trail off the Rainbow Road. At the end of the boardwalk, you will see the flagpole to your left.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 Bring yourself and don’t forget a water bottle, towel, sunglasses, and hat! Sunscreen and bug spray optional. The water from the washroom sinks is potable/drinkable.

𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙚 The beach is not fully accessible, with the boardwalk leading to a ramp ending in sand, roughly 100ft from where we will be sitting. The boardwalk is located 1km from the ferry docks, a roughly 15 minute walk. Bike parking is located at the start of the boardwalk. Accessible bathrooms are located at Hanlan’s Pavilion where the Mermaid Cafe is (~5min walk from beach).
