The organization’s third annual community celebration and official Toronto Pride Affiliate Event, will energize the 400 Jarvis Street block with fun, family-friendly programming, expecting to host over 2,000 Torontonians of all ages and skill levels for 14 dance workshops (Ballet, Afrofusion, Bollywood, Brazilian, Powwow, and more), pop-up dance performances from some of Toronto’s most coveted artists spanning multiple genres, Drag Queen Story Time, Dance Rehearsals of classical and contemporary works with dancers from NBS’ Professional Ballet Program at Betty Oliphant Theatre , a live DJ, scavenger hunt, games, and more!

NBS Block Party is the keystone event of Dancing Opens Doors—the principal fundraising campaign for Canada’s National Ballet School over three years (2022-2024). The Dancing Opens Doors fundraising initiative helps make dance more accessible to people and communities across Canada and beyond.

Special guest MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam, Toronto Centre, will be attending and making brief remarks.
