UNTOLD Stories is an intimate, living room style open mic created by and for Black members of the queer and trans community. This is a closed event for black community members. It is a space to share, witness, and listen to each others stories within a community that sees us and wants to listen.

Our next open mic will be held on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 at 6:30 PM and Bampot Tea House (201 Harbord St, Toronto, ON M5S 1H6). @bampothouse

Use the link in bio on instagram to sign up to share your stories! There will also be some spots open for signing up on the night of the event!

Bring any medium or form of expression. We welcome all forms of art and whether you’re new to sharing or well seasoned with sharing your artistic expressions!

There will be some instruments there that you can use (guitar, djembe, ukulele, and some smaller instruments).

You’re welcome to share:

Personal or family stories
Poetry or prose
Fiction or non-fiction storytelling
Song or instrumental pieces
Visual art (and speaking about it)
Journal entries
Improv or performance art
Drag or Burlesque
Comedy set
Or anything else that feels true to you ✨💗

Schedule

6:30 PM: Doors & performer “night-of” sign-up open
7:00 PM: Performances begin
9:30 PM: DJ set by @Nsaa_spins and mingle
10:00 PM: Event closes
