Link Music Lab and Standard Time join forces to present an intimate session with one of the most influential figures in electronic and dance music. A true original, A Guy Called Gerald has spent decades pushing sound forward with uncompromising vision and relentless innovation.
Breaking beats since 1988, Gerald is a foundational force in global electronic music and a trailblazer for Black British culture. From the era-defining acid classic “Voodoo Ray” to his role as a founding member of 808 State on “Pacific State,” his work helped shape the DNA of modern club music. With nine albums and over 50 releases, his sound spans acid house, techno, jungle, and forward-leaning electronic forms — always delivered with true-school intensity and future-minded edge.
As part of its ongoing mandate, Link Music Lab shines a light on international and local artists from the under-represented underground scene, expanding perspectives on electronic music shaped by global, Asian, and Middle Eastern influences.
