FUNCTION and Jazmine Louboutin welcome you to the inaugural Cover Ball, an annual affair highlighting our favourite print publications, shaping the world of arts, fashion, and culture. This year, we’re kicking it off with one of the most trusted voices in fashion, empowering youth worldwide through creativity since 1991, Dazed Magazine—featuring MCs Icon Precious Old Navy (Philadelphia, PA) and Father Bambam Siriano, DJ Karim Olen Ash, and guest judge Mother Tae Louboutin (Washington, D.C.).

With many thanks to Absolut, Maggie's Toronto, and Jems for their support.

FUNCTION

FUNCTION is a platform for Ballroom-first culture, stories, and events, based in Toronto. Through our work, we focus on uplifting BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ voices and highlighting Canadian Ballroom talent. Since our launch in April 2022, we've welcomed over 2000 attendees, distributed over $100,000 directly to BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ artists and participants, and handed out 400+ HIV self-testing kits and thousands of other harm reduction supplies to community members, leaning on expert nonprofit organizations.

Maggie’s Toronto

Founded in 1986, Maggie's Toronto Sex Workers Action Project is one of Canada's oldest sex worker justice organizations serving sex workers across Toronto and the GTA. Maggie’s offers a wide range of programs and services targeting marginalized and underserved communities—participating in anti-poverty organizing, racial justice work challenging police violence, 2SLGBTQ+ liberation work, Indigenous sovereignty and outreach efforts, harm reduction work, and more.

Jems

Jems is a condom and platform for sexual education. Jems condoms are designed for all identities, changing the way we relate to and perceive condom use—it’s one of the many reasons we love them. With their ultra-thin condoms made of natural latex, 100% silicone lube, and nothing more, we know you’ll love them too!
